Traveling to Baltimore
With its central location on the U.S. East Coast, Baltimore is easy to reach by your choice of transportation - within four hours or less of other major cities such as New York City, Philadelphia,
and Washington, D.C. See below for all the transportation information you will need to plan your trip.

By Air
Baltimore is served by three major airports.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
This airport has 344 nonstop departures and 644 average daily arrivals and departures.  It hosts 55 carriers, including Southwest, AirTran, American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, US Airways and United with daily nonstop international service to destinations including London, Toronto, Montego Bay, Mexico and the Caribbean

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
This airport is located in Chantilly, VA on 12,000 acres of land 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC.  Dulles is a major hub for domestic and international air travel with eleven domestic legacy and low fare carriers and 22 international carriers which provide air service throughout the world.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
This airport is located in Arlington, VA just across the Potomac River from the Nation’s Capital. Built in 1941, the airport’s original Terminal, now called Terminal A, is on the National Register of Historic Places.

By Rail – AMTRAK

Baltimore is easily accessible by both train and car and is within driving distance of more than one-third of the nation's population.  Erected in 1911, Penn Station Baltimore is one of Amtrak's busiest stations, serving more than 855,000 guests each year. Amtrak trains run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Penn Station Baltimore is a major stop for Amtrak's high-speed Acela Express service.

By Water

Traveling around Baltimore
When you're in Baltimore, you're two feet away from almost everything. Many of Baltimore's hotels, attractions, restaurants and nightlife are located within comfortable walking distance of each other.  Getting around is simple, thanks to number of taxis, limousines and shuttles. There is also the subway, local bus system and commuter rail service.
